Torch browser is an "ad-supported, closed-source" browser. I see no good reason to use something like that. If you're interested in Torch because of its torrent downloader, you've got more exposure to malware from torrents than from Torch.
Sounds about right re malware on may such downloads; a mess to uninstall all traces of such junk. Great humor re Marathon Man! Great movie!
