Hot detach data disk from azure linux VM

Hi Guys,

As per the doc https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/detach-disk we need to stop the linux VM before detaching the data disks. Is it updated? Cant we hot remove the data disks from azure VM.

Hi,

Yes you can detach data disks from an Azure Linux VM while its running, no need to stop the VM.
