Same server name not appearing is WSUS - Upstream and several downstream WSUS

My setup:
1 upstream server
Several downstream servers in different zone.

Each of the downstream WSUS servers are located in production, pre-production and testing
Each zone has the same server names for client machines but different IP addresses. Each server is correctly reporting into their relevant WSUS server. However the upstream WSUS is only displaying one of the servers (the one that last synced with the upstream).

I have completed the usual step for reset the SIDs (as these are VMs) and I have confirmed that both servers have different SusClientId / SusClientIDValidation, but I am still unable to get both servers to appear in the upstream WSUS.

All the servers are 2012R2

Is this possible with WSUS?
Thanks

Delete the computer object from the WSUS server MMC and re-run on both systems using my script located here:
    https://www.ajtek.ca/wsus/client-machines-not-reporting-to-wsus-properly/

If they still have trouble, follow the troubleshooting steps below it to find out where the problems lie.

Also, make sure Reporting Rollup is enabled.

    Hi Adam,
I followed the instructions as per your link, still no luck. I used two servers with the same name as a test, deleted them from the WSUS console (both down and upstream server), run the CMDs. The server re-appears correctly in the WSUS, but after syncing, only one appears in the upstream WSUS.

I want to clarify my setup:

    Upstream WSUS Server: WSUS-1
Downstream WSUS Servers: WSUS-2 (production) and WSUS-3 (test)
    Servers:
    ServerA (prod) >>> WSUS-2
    ServerA (test) >>> WSUS-3

So ServerA appears correctly in WSUS-2 and WSUS-3, however, only the server with the last WSUS sync appears in WSUS-1

Any other suggestions would be great.
    Thanks

    Hi ColinPilot-0877,

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

To avoid misunderstanding, here is all my understanding of the case. Please help to confirm whether it is correct or not.
There are several servers clients who have the same name reported on their relevant WSUS server correctly. But there is only one server displayed on the upstream WSUS server. Right?

In fact, we could not point the clients with the same name to the WSUS Server. This will occurred the report error and many clients would not report correctly. Changing the name of the clients may be helpful.

In addition, we could also refer to the below picture to change the DNS suffix to see whether the WSUS server will identify the clients with the same name.

Sorry, I should have provided feedback, so far I have been unsuccessful.

Completed the steps as mentioned by Adam, but this didn't solve the issue, thanks for your help though.
I am not in a position to change the server names due to the requirements of the environment, but again thanks for helping.

    Thanks
