Hello All,

I built a Serial driver. In Visual Studio 2019, I used "Desktop" as Target Platform. Now when I am running WHQL tests on my driver, at that time "ApiValidator" test is failing. It says API calls are not universal. Here I want to say, I don't want to make any universal driver. So Microsoft will allow this? Microsoft will provide certificate to my driver?

    Hi,

I assume you are certifying for 20H1 or earlier OS. Is this test auto populating for your driver after applying the respective playlist?

API validator test is mapped to "Device.DevFund.UniversalDriver.API" which is currently deferred to future releases. So, you can disregard this failure and make the submissions with it. You should be able to certify the Driver.
