VSCode debugger integration: pathMappings
Hi there,
I am a newbie to VSCode and I am working with PHP.
I am trying to install the debugger 'xdebug' but have run into a challenge that I need your help with.
In the launch.json file in set my localSourceRoot but the Intellisense has told me this is deprecated and I need to use pathMappings.
I am totally confused as to how and what I am supposed to put place in the curly braces. Could you please explain to me the fields that are requested?
I am using Desktop Server 3.8.5 which has PHP 5.524 and Xdebug 2.2.5
Thank you for your help
Eric

2018-03-31T23:47:47+00:00 Hi Sarah. My bad. I thought that because VSCode is a Microsoft Product I could ask on their forum somewhere. I should have got the hint when they didn't show any developer type forums in the dropdown lists.
FYI - I did post a question on GitHub and did some research on my challenge before posting any questions online. Felix doesn't seem like he cares to help much. At least that is what I gathered from reading his responses to people who posed him questions.
Thanks anyway for responding. I guess I'll just not use VSCode until I learn more about coding. Programming is not for beginners. At least not on GitHub.
Peace. Have a blessed Easter.

2018-03-31T01:39:18+00:00 This is the Windows forum therefore I think your question would be best suited in github.
I have a link for you where you can go and ask how to configure this.
Looks like some have already asked this question.
Best of luck.
