How to reinstall photos

Hello, I have an issue. I have tried to reinstall Microsoft Photos using Windows Powershell, that didn't work I tried using the Microsoft store website because I can't open the app and that didn't work because when I click the button it doesn't respond. Can someone please help I have been trying to fix this issue for a few days now and I have found nothing.

Also this is my first ever post, I have resorted to asking people online instead of just trying to find other people asking because none of that has worked. Sorry if the tags are wrong, I'm not sure how to work them. Thanks.

Before reinstall Photos app, we’d better repair or reset it first. Find this app in start menu and right-click, select More -> App settings, then click repair or reset button to test result.

Besides, open Windows PowerShell as administrator, type following command and press Enter key:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.Windows.Photos | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Let the command complete.
Finally, restart computer and check Photos, it should work fine now.

Hello, thank you for the feedback but I cannot repair or reset it because it has already been deleted.

I didn't know that repairing or resetting the app was an option because I had not gone that far into research before I deleted it.

I have already tried to reinstall it with the Microsoft Store like I said but it would not install. I tried to open the app as well, (Microsoft Store App) and it would not open.

I have tried the Windows PowerShell command many times and it has not worked once, I don't know what to do about this issue.

try to switch another account or create a new account to see Photos app state. Have you delete this app's provisioned package from image?

Hello, sorry I had not answered.
I have three accounts on this computer, one for my brother one for me and my father, none of them can open photos or the Microsoft Store.

Thanks for the advice, I tried all three but my problem in Photos hasn't changed. At least nothing is missing and I still have most program functionality.

That command gives an error:
Can't find path 'C:\AppXManifest.xml' because it doesn't exist.

If my problem was Photos CROP was not working and Photos app Repair and Reset didn't help, will this PowerShell command work on Windows 11 to fix that problem? I already have the latest Photos version from Microsoft Store.

These instructions helped greatly!

*For those who don't know how to open Powershell:

Press the “Windows” key + “R” on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. Type “powershell” into the dialog THEN press “Ctrl” + “Shift” + “Enter” on your keyboard to open PowerShell with elevated privileges
