Hello Vengatakrishnan,
From my own personal point of view as a Technical Support Analyst of more than a decade now, there are several factors that could be the cause of the issue. One could be an outdated network adapter driver or a faulty NIC, another could be a bad registry being stored and getting corrupt, and lastly firewall settings.
Whatever the cause is, it is always good to perform system and driver updates from time to time and do system defragmentation. It is also good to perform isolation checks like replacing network cables or replicating the issue on another computer so as to determine where the issue is coming from.
Hello Don, Good Day
Actually we have resolved the issue now.
we have changed the NIC adapter to static now and it working fine we can access the internet.
But why it got auto changed to obtain auto
Any reason. It would be appreciated
Hello Vengatakrishnan,
Do you still have a copy of the Static IP settings for your internet connection? If you do, try to unplug the LAN switch first from your computer, reconfigure the Static IP settings on your IPv4 advanced settings and then restart the computer.
Once the computer has restarted, recheck to see if the Static IP settings are still there then reconnect your computer to the LAN switch and see if you could access the internet.
Let me know how it goes.
Hello Vengatakrishnan,
My name is Don and I am a Windows 10 Independent Adviser.
Was there any device like Router or Modem connected to your computer when you restarted it?
Was your NIC also set intentionally as Static IP to be able to connect to your internet provider or are they using Dynamic IP to provide you with internet access?
