Updating Graphics Device

How do I update the graphic device on my computer? I can't enjoy some games on my computer because the graphics are out of date to it. I've looked on the Intel website, but when I looked up the device I already have to try and update it, nothing pops up. So, I was hoping that someone could help me update my graphics to what they could be.

I currently have Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20 GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

    Hi,

My name is Gary an independent advisor and I would be happy to help you out with your concern,

May I ask what is the make and model of your device? If its a desktop, the motherboard's model would do.

Also what is/are the graphics driver currently installed?

Normally to update graphics driver you would have to update it from the device manager.

    1. Go to start/search for device manager
    2. Expand the graphics adapter category
    3. Right click the driver and choose to update

If you have intel as integrated display driver, you may use this auto detect tool from intel to locate any outdated drivers

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support...

Other than that, if its a nvidia or radeon driver you would have to locate the driver available for your device's model from its manufacturer website.

Let me know how it goes. :)

Video cards are a small piece of hardware which you could plug in on the PCI slots directly to your motherboard. Once you have one, you may then download their drivers from their manufacturer website for it to serve as your dedicated gpu rendering your display to be very smooth. :)

    Hi William,

I would recommend adding a dedicated gpu to your desktop if you plan on using the desktop for gaming. As solely relying to the integrated gpu which is intel would suffer so much for hardcore gaming. Nvidia and Radeon video cards are known as a beautiful expansion to desktops for smoother gaming experience. :)

    Hi, Gary.

If I'm correct, my computer runs with Intel. I have a Windows 10, and it's an actual PC instead of a laptop (so a desktop, I think?). I went to the website that you linked and it said everything was up to date. When I went through device manager, it said everything was up to date, but could be better. I'm looking to improving/updating my graphics so I can enjoy my games again.
