Bios Password Reset

Hello,

I am trying to update an old PC of mine to Win10.  It is BIOS password protected so I can't start the clean install via USB flash.  Is there any way to reset this without physically tweaking the Motherboard?

Thanks,

Hunter

If I am having the same problem, but I am the owner (I can provide my credit card bill to prove) of this device, how can I fix this? My computer auto updated and now it keeps auto rebooting. I did everything recommended on this Microsoft community and now, as a last resort, I redeleted my partitions to reinstall Windows 10 via USB recovery tool. I cannot install windows with a boot configuration error. What can I do now?

    There is a rule here:

    It is a Microsoft directive.

it makes no difference whether you are the owner or not.

We can't help you due to Microsoft's policy about BIOS/etc. Passwords.

Contact your laptop, computer or motherboard manufacturer.

I’m sorry to say but we cannot help with password access due to data protection. We don’t know whether you are the legal owner of the device.
