Hi,

Bought a new Acer computer with windows 10 that will not recognize my Canon MF4150 printer.  Old computer had 10 on it and printer worked fine.  I've added new drivers, and done everything I could find for advise but nothing works.  Canon's website says the printer should work with 10.

HELP I'm old and frustrated.

Thanks

Hi, I'm David a Windows 10 expert and user just like you.

Let's see if we can resolve your problem!

Firstly we need to make sure the printer is definitely connected to your new PC ok - can you tell me is the printer connected with a USB cable (ie. you have a cable from the printer straight in to the PC), or does it connect via Wifi? If you have it connected with a USB lead I would suggest removing the lead from the computer and then reconnecting it to a different USB port as a first step. Occasionally there could be an issue with a particular port and using a different one could be all that's required.

If that doesn't help... or if the printer is connected via WiFi you might want to try downloading the latest drivers directly from Canon here: https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_produc...

As you say the printer is listed as compatible with Windows 10 so we should be able to get this going for you!

Please let me know if it still won't work.
