Log volume control operations

Hi.

I have a VoIP application installed that takes control over the volume when a call is present.

My problem is that the app raises the volume 10-20% for each call, and before I know it my ears are bleeding.

The company (Mitel) blames Windows for this action, but I'm quite sure it is the VoIP app.

Is there any way to log volume control actions?

I want to use it to prove what is to blame for the volume actions and if the VoIP app is the culprit, send the findings to the developer.

    Yes, we have another user facing the exact same issue. And our reseller can confirm that they have anothe customer with the same issue as well.

    Thanks for confirming. I now understand your judgment behind this.

    If the same issue persists on another machine, then it's definitely the app that's causing it. Anyways, let me check if there are any other log locations. Thanks.

    Hi Paul.

    None of the event logs register any volume actions at all.

    Both Skype and Teams behave like normal, with a steady volume level. No matter how many calls I make.

    Hi LarsOlsen_FG,

    I'm Paul, a fellow customer like you & a Windows 10 Independent Advisor. In Event Viewer, you can either find it in the below location but I am uncertain if it will point that specific VOIP app though.

    • Windows Logs > System

    • Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Audio

    If I may suggest, another way to isolate the issue is to test another app, like Skype perhaps, and see if the issue repeats itself.
