Firewall / sharing center / projection not functioning after cloning HDD
Hi.
So I'm at a loss here and I can't seem to find any thread that seems to help with the issues I'm experiencing. Hopefully we can figure this out, as it is more of an annoyance than anything...
I recently cloned my original HDD to a SSD (Samsung 860 Evo 500g) which was 1TB. This was done using Samsung cloning software. After this everything seemed to be fine, until I tried to access my external hard drives linked to my router. After some toiling I got them to work again. I then attempted to share my 1TB old hard drive as a network drive. This is when I got the error reading that network discovery was turned off and that it needed to be activated again. I went to reactivate it and "save settings" and it will immediately set itself back to off. The only way I can seem to get it to stay active is by shutting off the firewall. There is no settings when allowing an app through the firewall for networking, which seems odd because some of the info I've read says there should be something there.
I also encountered an error once from troubleshooter that said I had a double NAT, so I made sure to bridge the router included with my internet service, which did not solve any of my issues. In fact, it seemed to have crashed my whole network and I had to reset everything back to factory to get it functioning again.
Seemingly unrelated, but occuring at the same time, I can no longer connect to project my computer to my tv, or Roku device, where before there were no issues. It will start to connect and then "fail". No troubleshooter info. I feel like it is somehow connected to the above problem, although I'm not quite sure how.
