Minecraft Dungeons can't install.

I went to download Minecraft Dungeons the first time, and it was working (got about 150MBs downloaded but then I decided I wanted to change the install location to a different drive so I cancelled the installation to change what drive my apps install on via the storage setting on my computer. After doing so, the installation fails every single time with the error code: 0x80073CF3 I have since tried everything I could find relating to the error code to try and fix it but it simply WILL NOT INSTALL. I changed my default app installation drive back and it still fails every time. Is it not working because I have already downloaded some of it and it is somewhere on my primary drive? Why can't I install on a different drive? Please help.

I have found that the Windows Store is absolutely useless for anything in life and should just be deleted.

I had an issue like this with a different game. What resolved the issue for me was installing it on a different drive which had significantly more space. Even though I had enough space for the size of the game, I had to use another drive with heaps more available space to get it to work. Well that was my theory anyway.

None of these suggestions worked. I am just going to refund the game at this point. It seems impossible to fix I have spent about 8 hours trying to fix it. And it is just the one app (Minecraft Dungeons) that isn't installing, other apps seem to download fine. And I have used the correct method of changing saving locations for apps. Thank you for trying to help.

    Hi
I understand how difficult it is, when the device or app won't work in the way it should. Does the issue occur only with a particular app that you installed?

But for the meantime, Here's some possible solution. Please follow the steps below.
I would suggest to run Windows store app Troubleshooter. Follow these steps.

    • Go to "Settings" simply press Windows key + I.
    • Click on "Update & Security", on the left panel choose "Troubleshoot".
    • Scroll down and click on Windows store apps and click on Run the Troubleshooter.

If does not help. Reset the Microsoft store. Follow these step.

    • Go to "Settings" simply press Windows key + I.
    • Click on "Apps", then click on "Apps & features".
    • Scroll down and click on "Microsoft store", then click on "Advanced options"
    • Scroll down and click on "Reset"

If the issue persist, I would suggest to Re-register all store apps. Follow these steps.

    • Open Powershell simply press Winodws key + X, then choose Windows Powershell(Admin).
    • Then copy paste the command below on Powershell.

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    • Restart your computer to apply changes.

Next, reset the Windows Store cache. Follow these steps.

    • Go to Run simply press Windows key + R,
    • Type WSReset.exe

Also, Here's the right way of changing the location of saving your apps in drive. Check on the link below.

Very simple fix guys. Update your windows to the latest build. This does not mean simply checking for updates, you will actually need to update to the new windows 10 build. I had this same issue and now it's fixed after completely updating windows. Goodluck

I have the same problem and this is actually embarrassing. I bought it because I had extra money left over on Amazon, now I can't play the game. No way will I buy anything from the microsoft store again, how hard is this? This should be illegal...
