Readonly USB Drive

Hello,

A few days ago, my USB drive was corrupted for an unknown reason. (I wasn't able to recover any of the data.) Now, the USB is completely unusable, in a RAW state, and every time I try to enter it, a message appears saying that "You need to format the disk in drive D: before you can use it." Then, I tried to format it, but when I clicked start, another message appeared saying "The disk is write protected". I have used DiskPart in CMD to remove the readonly attribute, I have used third-party software to try and disable the write protection, searching the Internet far and wide and trying all solutions have yielded no results, as I still am unable to format the USB. Is there a working solution to this, or is the USB corrupted beyond repair?

Thanks in advance,

    Hi Stephen

When a USB flash drive does into a Read Only state, it has failed, and while you will find lots of 'fixes' on the Internet, sadly, none of those will work, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that drive will not be repairable . . .
