I am getting the following in EventViewer, and not sure why it is happening. Fresh reinstall of Windows.

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{37399C92-DC3F-4B55-AE5B-811EE82398AD}

and APPID

{37399C92-DC3F-4B55-AE5B-811EE82398AD}

to the user DESKTOP-BN22B7R\billc SID (S-1-5-21-2365581884-370406950-1311459337-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Microsoft.GamingApp_2101.1002.1.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe SID (S-1-15-2-1723189366-2159580849-2248400763-1481059666-1951766778-2756563051-3565589001). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I tried this (Error - Event ID: 10016; DistributedCOM - Microsoft Community) with the APPID (starting with 37399) but it didn't solve the problem, help?

Hi Bill,

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor here to assist you.

DCOM errors are normal and are present on every functioning computer and should not cause an issue. Is it causing crashes or something on your PC?

Workaround

These events can be safely ignored because they don't adversely affect the functionality and are by design. It's the recommended action for these events.

    Some people actually use system logs in event viewer to diagnose issues - it would be amazing if Microsoft could fix this garbage.
