Microsoft Remote Desktop

Hello,

I'm trying to connect to my computer ( Windows 10 ) from macos using microsoft remote desktop but :

  1. it asks me for User Account ( Username & Password ) . Should I type the user that i use on windows ? or is a special account?
  2. When i use the name of the user that I use for windows , it gives me an error , saying :

We couldn't connect to the remote PC because a user a user account restriction is preventing you from signing in. Contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0xc07

I'd be obliged if you would help me in this case.

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The error message "You cannot log in due to account restrictions" is displayed when you log in to the system using the remote desktop function. This is because your account password is blank, and the remote computer you log in to only allows local accounts with blank passwords to log in to the console by default.

You can try the following steps to see if it helps with this issue。

Click the "Start" menu, click the "Run" command.

In the open Run dialog box, enter "secpol.msc" and click "OK" to open the local security settings.

In the console tree window on the left, expand "Local Policies" - "Security Options"

In the right window, double-click to open the "Accounts: Local accounts with blank passwords only allow console logins" item.

Enter the "Local Security Settings" tab interface, select "Disabled", and click "OK" to save the changes.
