I reject the terms of service for Copilot (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/privacy/copilot-supplemental-terms). Now tell me how to uninstall it immediately.

Thank you for letting me know.

The reason I mentioned you can uninstall it in "Installed app" in my previous steps is because, in the newer versions of Windows 11 (23H2 and 24H2), Copilot is now a standalone app that can be uninstalled. Once removed, the Windows + C shortcut should no longer open it,,, unless you're using an older version of Windows.

Could you provide me with a screenshot of your current Windows OS Build?

To do this, press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, type "winver" (without the quotes), and capture a screenshot (make sure not to include your email address), and attach the screenshot in your next response.

As for Copilot in Microsoft Edge, it's integrated into the search experience, but you can disable the Copilot sidebar by going to: edge://settings/sidebar

There is no such option in settings, and the only search result from Start is:

"Controls visibility of the Copilot button on the taskbar", and in Personalisation>Taskbar, the Copilot (preview) button in switched off; yet, Windows Key+C still opens up Copilot and it's embedded in Microsoft Edge as well.

    Hello,

You can go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Copilot > Uninstall.

    Hope this helps.

There is no such option. Not there, not in system components, not under Microsoft Copilot, not under Windows Copilot, not under just Copilot...

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

If you haven't already, please follow these steps below.

To uninstall, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps > find Copilot app and click the three-dot menu and click "Uninstall".

Or click Start > search for Copilot > in the result, right-click on Copilot and click "App Settings" > Scroll down to Uninstall section and click "Uninstall".

Please do the same for the Microsoft 365 Copilot app if you have it installed as well.

If the issue persists, please provide more details about the issue.

Click "Reply" below to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
