    I have the same issue.

    Don't try anything.

It should be addressed by Microsoft. Why should we, as customers, try to fix this bug created by them?

    Hello Adrian,

    1. Latest Install error - 0x800f0991
    2. Third Party Norton with VPN Off. Also tried install with Norton turned off completely.
    3.  Tried installing all previous failed cumulative updates manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog
    4. I have enough free space on my system drive (C:). HP Computer is less than a year old and also tried installs after a complete computer reset to factory install.
    5. Normal English regional, language Windows is NOT set to an unsupported or mismatched configuration, like an incorrect region or time zone.
    6. This problem just started recently. (About 3 weeks ago)

    Thanks for your attention!

    Ron

Hope MS fixes this ASAP. This is not just a simple bug. It affects a lot of their users. I have 3PCs and all of them are affected of this issue. One of my PC goes into Recovery all of the time before it turns on properly after trying this update.

I have the same error with this update. Error 0x800f081f.

Why is Microsoft not addressing this?
