I recently purchased a laptop, and during the initial setup, I'm getting an error code: 800434F5. I’ve tried restarting and troubleshooting, but the issue still prevents me from using the laptop properly.

Could you please help me understand what this error means and guide me on how to fix it? Or let me know if this is a known issue with certain devices?

    Hello,

Please push Shift + F10 on your keyboard to open Command Prompt.

Then, type start ms-cxh:localonly and push enter.

Then, you should be able to set up Windows with a local account.

Once you have everything set up and running, you can go to Settings > Account > Your info and then push the link that says, "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead" and then sign in that way.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Kalhan,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

Are you able to reach the desktop, or stuck in OOBE only?

If you are stuck in OOBE, let me suggest creating a local account only.

    1. Press Shift-F10 or Shift+Fn+F10 keys to open a CMD Window.
    2. Type:

    start ms-cxh:localonly

Follow the on-screen prompts, and you should be able to set up a local account and reach the desktop.

Feel free to correct me if I misunderstood the question.
