In that case, there may be a hardware block on your hardware stopping that update installing, Microsoft are still working on the bugs in that update and have it blocked on many hardware configurations, it would be best to wait a while, then try the update again.
Windows 11 Update 24H2 Blue Screen Error - kernel mode heap corruption
Hello,
I use a lenovo thinkpad t15 gen 5 with intel core 5 config. All the drivers are up to date with lenovo system update. When i want to update windows to 24h2 everything works good until 93% of instalation process, then i receive blue screen error (image atached).
All drivers are up to date. In command prompt i run this sfc /scannow and i receive this message: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. After this i run again the update and the same blue screen.
So, how do i fix this? I do not want to install a fresh windows.

2025-01-30T10:26:58+00:00 If I go through this step, I'm interested in knowing if the settings I currently have in Windows remain exactly the same, if I lose personal data on the desktop / other partition, and if the software already installed on the laptop keeps all its settings.
Thank you for your time.

The most successful method to upgrade to version 24H2 is to use the Windows 11 ISO.
Please follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.
Click this link:
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...
to download the Windows 11 ISO
When the ISO file completes downloading
Disconnect from the Internet
Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.
Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed
Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the Install option.
