Thumbnail Size Difference

I was wondering why the thumbnail image is bigger than others.. I am new at making my own icons, etc and the only thing I can say is that they are all the same dimensions. They are all kb in size. I'm not sure why it bothers me, but it does. Any ideas to fix it? Some larger ones have the square outline too and some don't.

Oh.. and they are all identical if I change the view to Medium but it's to small.. It's only when it's larger then that.

    Hi BamaHadley,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like the folder thumbnail size on the File Explorer on your Windows 11 is different. Sorry to hear this. To understand your situation better and provide you with a more accurate solution, I'll need more details.

It can be seen from the picture that these thumbnails are located in the OneDrive folder, so the problem only occurs in the OneDrive folder or the whole File Explorer?

If this is a separate issue on OneDrive, check if the same occurs on the OneDrive website.

If all folders in File Explorer suffer, try the methods below and see if they help.

    1. Scan and repair corrupted system files.

Search and open Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the Windows Search and run the following commands respectively in sequence:

    SFC /SCANNOW

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Allow the process to finish and see if it solves any problems. Restart the device later.

    1. Restart the File Explorer service.

Type: cmd from the Windows search box > Right-click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator > Type in taskkill /f /im explorer.exe and hit Enter key to stop the File Explorer > And then Type in start explorer.exe and hit Enter key to start the File Explorer.

The above steps are provided based on the information we have learned so far. I await your update to assist you further if the problem is still there.

    Best regards
