Hi ,
Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.
I understand from your message that there is no sound problem when using Microsoft Remote Desktop client to access Windows on Mac.
Generally, there is no sound in the audio when you open a video on remote desktop. If you want to transmit sound, there is a setting for remote collector sound in the "Local Resources" option of remote desktop connection. By setting the "Bring to this computer" option, you can make the music played on the remote server output on the speaker or Mic of the RDP terminal device, which can effectively solve the music playback problem caused by system resource limitation or software limitation and network file access limitation of Thinclient/WinCE. Solution. Another way is to stay on the remote computer (Leave at remote computer), that is, when playing on the server, the sound output is still on the speakers or Mic of the remote computer.
Don’t worry, you can try the following steps to see if you can solve your problem.
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Terminal Services - Client/Server Data Redirection - Enable "Allow Audio Redirection.
I hope the information provided is useful to you, Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

For anyone else who runs into this - the issue seems to have been resolved in the latest Mac client update:
Microsoft Remote Desktop Version 10.7.5 (1969)
Good luck!
Hi ,
If I have misunderstood your question, you are welcome to reply and correct me!
Since there is no audio playback on your computer's remote connection, the problem will reappear as soon as you disconnect the RDP after trying your own method.
This caused by a number of reasons, such as incompatible programs, drivers are not modest and so on. You can enter the widows time viewer will see an error, and then look at the path of the error program to find the corresponding program, delete or uninstall to see if the problem can be solved.
In addition,
In xp open these services: start - run - services.msc find these services all open
Then right click on My Computer --- Properties --- Remote --- Remote Desktop check off
