I'm trying to make it so that all of my apps download onto my D: drive that I recently got, and whenever I select my D: drive and click apply, it shows

"We couldn't set your default save location.

The operation did not complete successfully, try again in a bit.

The error code is 0x80070002, in case you need it." and I can't fix this.

Good day heavenascendedgroovy! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are trying to change the default save location of the apps on the other drive that you have on your PC. Kindly check and try the steps below and see how it goes.

    • Open File Explorer and open the D drive
    • If you see a folder that is named WindowsApps, right click on a blank field and then create a new folder and name it to any folder name that you want
    • Cut and paste the WindowsApps on the newly folder that you created
    • Go back again to Start > Settings > System > Storage > Change where new content is saved and try changing it again to the D drive
    • If it will still not work, go back to the D drive from the File Explorer and then look for WpSystem folder and rename it to WpSystem.old
    • After doing the above, check and try it again

    Regards,

    Paul R.
