Hi all

is the way to create a group under Azure, MS 365 that I can create and associate this group with MS teams meeting policies, once the new employee is created to inherit the same policies.

I tried as per bellow

creating a dynamic group from Azure AD doesn't allow us to assign MS teams meeting policy to the team group, MS teams groups it only has two policy which is to make it private or create channels private.

I have also checked alternatives under policy packages and the issue here is that they are not editable, most important the naming of the policy.

Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Teams for business | Teams and channels | Manage a team or channel

Hi Obakeng,

Thank you for all the details you has input.

Yes, for the dynamic group current you can't  assign teams meeting policy since Dynamic membership enables the membership of a team to be defined by one or more rules that check for certain user attributes in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Users are automatically added or removed to the correct teams as user attributes change or users join and leave the tenant.

That means those dynamic members can be automatically moved at any time, let's say for example, An airline wants to create a team for each flight (like a Tuesday afternoon non-stop from Chicago to Atlanta) and have a frequently changing flight crew automatically assigned or removed as needed.

So, it is really a bit of hard to allow those members to inherit meeting policy because they certainly will switch to different policy  based on their teams, so you may consider assign the policy to them individually at Teams admin center, but in terms of the inherit, current you can't

For the extra hint, You may want to assign a custom teams policy to multiple users that you’ve already identified. For example, you may want to assign a policy to all users in a security group. You can do this by connecting to the Azure Active Directory PowerShell for Graph module and the Skype for Business PowerShell module.

For these command, you can kindly refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoftteams/teams-policies?WT.mc_id=TeamsAdminCenterCSH.

Yours Sincerely,

George
