I am experiencing regular crashes of MS teams when i enable either the internal or an external camera.

The separate camera app works fine as does camera capabilities in other video apps such as zoom.

am running win 10

I've got the same issue.  Additionally, even with the camera not connected, if I open the setting section in teams, if Canon EOS Webcam is selected, Teams will shutdown and I get the "There was a glitch, and we're recovering".  I'd agree, the issue seems to be associated with the MS Teams update.  The Canon works great as a webcam in Zoom with no issues.  Would love to be able to use Teams but need some help from MS to resolve.

I also have this issue, it started yesterday seemingly after an update.

You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.30866 (64 bit). It was last updated on 18/11/2020.

Using either and external or inbuilt laptop camera Teams crashes out with the Glitch error.

Its also displaying the same behaviours if I go into settings and 'hang around' for to long, ...to long is about a minute it seems

I have worked my way through most of your suggested fixes with no positive result.

I am pretty sure the latest teams release version 1.3.00.1973 is the issue. Not only does the camera stop working the session does not 'release' the camera upon completion of the meeting.

Seems like the only way to release the camera is to kill teams via the task manager.

I think we need a new patch for teams

I have recently experienced this issue with Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.28779 64bit.

Teams use of the Camera just closed teams automatically and relaunched it with a "glitch" error window.

Skype worked fine still and Zoom untested.

It took me a while to find a solution, but I uninstalled Teams from the pc and then directedly downloaded it from Microsoft.

After reinstalling, this problem went away.

For some reason I reinstalled my Nvidia GeForce drivers a few days later.

The Teams camera crashing issue is now back.

Again, I uninstalled Teams and reinstalled to fix the issue.

I can only think that for me there is some sort of incompatibility with the latest Nvidia Drivers.

Even if you are not using a Nvidia GPU, it may be worth trying the uninstall and reinstall of Teams.

I am having the exact same problem as EugeneNOC with the exception of this occurs with both Teams and Zoom. The issue started immediately after Teams released the update that allowed a second window during Teams meetings.
