Chat & Channel Missing Android App

I have used Microsoft Teams for 2 years on the same Samsung Galaxy (Android) device. In the past I was able to make calls, send messages, toggle between different chats and channels, etc.

Last week, I made a call using the app. Since then I no longer have an option to select to get back to chat or channels, or any other functionality, they have all disappeared.

I have cleared/deleted the cache and data, that didn't work. I uninstalled and that didn't work. I turned on the beta and nothing happened. Please help.

    Hi All,

I had a ticket open with Microsoft about this issue. Their response below (taken from the link):

"A Teams Android mobile app singed in with an account tied to Microsoft Teams Shared Device license is used as a shared device by frontline workers to make and receive calls as part of their daily work using Teams."

Set up an Android mobile phone as a common area phone - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

You will need to remove the license in order to use the Chat functionality. If you still require Teams calling functionality you will require a Microsoft Teams Phone Standard License.

    Kind Regards,
    Lleyton

Since Clearing the cache and uninstalling the app does not help.

Try disabling / enabling show channels in chat list.

Tap on your photo > Settings > Messaging. You should see an option 'show channels in chat list'.

Toggle the button, the app will relaunch.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, "Messaging" is no longer an option for me to choose from.
