I have data with around 20,000 columns and if i try using python to import the data i am getting a #CALC error. see below

    is python still working in excel? I was using it and i tried on the sample sheets and all the time i am getting the same error

    It seems like you are having an issue using the Python in Excel wherein you encountered some error. Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue.

    For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

    • Is this working before?
    • What is the version number of your Excel app?

    The #CALC error in Excel usually occurs when a formula is unable to calculate a result. In your case, it could be due to the large number of columns in your data. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    • Check if any of the formulas in your worksheet are referencing cells that contain errors or are blank. If so, correct those errors or fill in the blank cells.
    • Try breaking down your data into smaller chunks and importing them separately. This will help reduce the load on Excel and may prevent the #CALC error from occurring.
    • Consider using a different tool or program to import and analyze your data. Python is a powerful tool for data analysis, but it may not be the best option for handling large datasets in Excel.
