Outlook.com keeps logging me off!

Since it is  impossible to integrate ouitlook.com into my outlook desktop without serious problems  ( BTW it is absolutley ridicuouls MS, to give the same name to two DIFFERENT applications!! confusing and nonsensical!) - I keep it only as my back up email and log on to check my emails every couple of days or so.

now - when I log on - I should STAY looged on, even when I close the browser - and that was the case initially.

BUt now, every time I go back to my account I am LOGGED OFF and have to log on again, even when I select KEEP ME LOOGED ON.

What's going on MS???

can anyone tell me why it loggs me off and what can I do to STAY logged on even for several days UNTIL I LOG MYSELF OFF?

if this can't be done, I will just close this account as it is more and more useless and time consuming to use it.

it's interesting that Microsoft never advises its users about the rollouts of new security updates and their implications.

I don't want to use OneDrive or to create a Sync account, or go through any other intermediaries, new accounts, cloud drives, identity checks etc to simply read my emails.  I don't use my FB account, or my MS account (which I of course I MUST have) any other COMMON accounts to sign in and use other products unless I absolutely must. This is ridiculous and collecting information and data about people. Who is who and does what and uses what.

I don't create more hassle around something than what it's worth.  I simply want to access my emails. Nothing else.

and if I can't do this easily and effortlesly - I don't do it at all.

This is my new life philosophy - when something is not working the way it should and I can't fix it in one simple attempt - I leave it and move on.  I make my life SIMPLER not more difficult and complicated.

Which measn that I will close my outlook accounts.

    thanks for your reply.

I use Firefox., and it does not block cookies from Outlook.

Sometimes I stay logged on for few days, but most of the time I get looged off,.  Nothing changes at my end.

    Hello,

One of the possible reasons why your account on the Outlook web app keeps logging off is because your browser is configured to block cookies from Outlook.com. With this, can you tell us what browser are you using when accessing the Outlook web app?

We are looking forward to your response.

Part of the updates that was rolled out is the new security changes to cut down on the frequency and ease of hacking. You can also try signing in to OneDrive and have your account signed in automatically. This method should also have your Outlook web app signed in as well.

Have you also tried Sync in Mozilla Firefox? It will also save you time signing in to the apps you are always using. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Open the Menu in the top right of Firefox and select Sign in to Sync.
    2. Click Get started in the tab that opens.
    3. Enter an email address and password to Create a Firefox Account.
    4. Click Next to get a verification sent to your email.

You can always post on this thread whenever you have questions.
