I have a list of items in Excel.      I want to put a tick against some to show that they are correct but I cannot find a tick symbol in the character map.   Where is it please?.

Perhaps something like this....

Select the range of cells to be impacted

XL2007:

Home.Format.Cells....Number_Tab

...Category: Custom

...Type: •;•;•;•  <----That's:

                                         Hold down ALT...Type: 0149...Release ALT

                                         semicolon

                                         Hold down ALT...Type: 0149...Release ALT

                                         semicolon

                                         Hold down ALT...Type: 0149...Release ALT

                                         semicolon

                                         Hold down ALT...Type: 0149...Release ALT

...Click: OK

Now, for those cells any entered value at all will display as: •

For Pre-XL2007:

Format.Cells.Number_Tab....(same as above)

Is that something you can work with?

    EXCEL 2007

    1. Go into a cell.
    2. Home / Font / select Marlett / then type the letter a in the cell / a tick will appear and you can copy and paste from there.
