UID number is changing to zero

UID number is automatically changing to zero in active directory, when I click on generate UID number, it displays a unique number and next day when I check, value becomes zero. not sure what is the issue.

It would be great if you can share some more details on the steps that you are going through. Also, do let us know if you are using Azure Active Directory or the On-Prem Active Directory in this case.
