I just realized my office, excel and powerpoint were gone after I reset my computer. What should I do to get it back? Well, I don't have the money to purchase it again and I only have this one laptop to use for my study. SOS.

First make sure that you haven't just lost the shortcuts for yor Office programs. If you click the Start button in Windows 10 and then start typing winword, you should see Word in the list of search results. Right-click it and choose to pin it to the Start menu and/or the taskbar. Do the same with Excel and PowerPoint.

If that doesn't work, note that resetting the computer might mean that it was restored to state it was in before you first installed Office. If that is indeed what has happened, you will have to reinstall Office using your product key. You can download a backup from https://products.office.com/en-us/download-back-up-restore-microsoft-office-products.

If you really reset your PC to factory defaults then you have lost all of your installed programs and data. You must reinstall Office. If you have a subscription version (Office 365) you can sign in to your Office account at www.office.com/myaccount and reinstall.

For older versions, you can reinstall from your CD or DVD. If you don't have installation media, you can download a backup from https://products.office.com/en-us/download-back-up-restore-microsoft-office-products. You'll need your product key.

    Hello,

I also had to reset my pc and now I do not know where to find my old MS Office programs...I tried the method described above but only the trial version of Office was found using Winword in the search? Does anyone know how to proceed from here to retrieve the old version of word? Thank you!

If you chose a reset option that removes not only installed programs but also data files, you will have to restore your files from a backup.
