Date format in Android phone

How to set date format to dd-mm-yyyy format in Excel in android phone? My location is India.

Hi Ashok, 

You need to set your system language to English (India) , then Excel will automatically pick up the date format you are looking for.

    Hi Eileen,

    Thanks for your guidance on changing date format. Phone language setting also influences the date format. I set English (United Kingdom) as default phone language initially; hence dd/mm/yyyy format was seen. I changed phone language to English (India) as suggested by Mr. Sanjay Bhat; now I see dd-mm-yyyy format.

    Hi Ashok,

    You may change the date format by going to the Number Format option in Excel for Android. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    1. Enter your desired date, then go to the Home tab.

    2. Tap Number Format.

    3. Select or double tap Date.

    4. Choose your desired date format.
