Video Compression

Does anyone know how to maximize compression options when compressing a PowerPoint file (with videos)? If I compress a file it brings the file from 30M to 25M. When a colleague compresses (using the same options) they can get the file down to 6M. We are both selecting File --> Compress Media --> Standard option and we are both running the same PowerPoint version (Office 365). Any ideas? I'd love to get mine to compress more.

 Thanks!

Stacey

Compare the settings on both machines for:

File menu > Options command > Advanced option > Image Size and Quality section

look at all 3 options in that section.

I updated, then tried to compress the file and it only compressed down to 25M. Any other thoughts?

You should do it. Microsoft keeps improving their products. To update, open any Office product say Word > File > Account > Update Options > Update Now

Can you open Powerpoint > File > Options > Account and see what is the version and build?

Also see what is the version and build of your colleague.

    Thanks, E, for the reply!

    Mine: Version 1801 Build 9001.2144

    Theirs: Version 1802 Build 9029.2293

So different versions and builds. Does that mean mine needs updating?
