so i am currently working on my stats coursework and i am asked to simulate data which i usually know but this time we are asked to “increment by x unit”. It confuses me as I have been overthinking about it. Will be really helpful if someone can point
me to the right direction.

It is very easy.
Open Excel > File > Options > Add-ins > Scroll down to Manage: Select Excel add-ins > Go > Check Data analysis tool pak > OK
Now in Data tab at the right side, you will see Data analysis tool pak > Click to open > Random number generation > OK
Now do whatever your instructions say
