SharePoint online Access Requests is missing

I have shared a site (a modern team site associated with a communications hub site) with an external user.

Why I do not see ' Access requests' under Settings-Site Contents?

My account is a global admin**.**

How can I manage sent invitations?

Thank you.

Dear Leogrande77,

The Access Request option is only enabled in Site Contents when meeting the following requirements.

  1. As the global admin, you need to go to Settings>Site permissions>Advanced permissions settings>Access Request Settings>uncheck the two options in the window.

  1. The option will not appear when the site administrator shares the site with other users. It will pop up when the members in the site share the site with other users. Then the site administrator can approve or reject the requests.

Best Regards,

Cliff

I have been following instructions in this article.  I have sent an invitation email myself as a global admin.

    Dear Leogrande77,

About “ Access requests”, do you mean Site permissions? If yes, I’d like to confirm whether you can access the permission page via https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/sitename/\_layouts/15/user.aspx directly.

About “Why I do not see ' Access requests' under Settings-Site Contents?”, could you upload some related screenshots?

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

Please also check whether the issue only happens in the specific modern team site and whether other global administrators are experiencing the same issue in the site.

    Best Regards,

    Cliff
