Replacing citations with manually put reference numbers

Hi,

I have put integer numbers in square brackets like [1], [2], [3] and so on beside my reference or bibliography list. I want to replace my citations within my text with the reference number outside the text.

I have shown this in my picture.

Somebody please guide me how to do this.

Zulfi.

    Hello

    Thanks for reaching out.
    And I'll be happy to help you out today.

    supposed you entered all your references manually and citation. You may use these keyboard shortcut to manually also input corresponding numbers.
    For superscript, simply press Ctrl + Shift + + (press and hold Ctrl and Shift, then press +). For subscript, press CTRL + = (press and hold Ctrl, then press =). Pressing the respective shortcut again will get you back to normal text.
    If you have more than same citation number use CTRL + h to replace all.

    But if you want all to be automatically, You may refer to this link;
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/add-ci...

    In there, You can choose ISO 690 to change citation into numbers.

    If you have more concerns feel free reply.
    Have a nice day !

    -Regards,

    Marj :)
