Remove legend key from chart

Hi everyone,

I have a legend on a bar chart that I have created in excel. It has the usual legend key and the text next to the key. Is it possible to remove the legend key (ie. the little square to the left of the text) and just keep the text in the legend?

Would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks in advance.

Hi gwnh

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

Unfortunately, the answer is No. Both the square and text are joined and can be added or removed together,

There is a work around to give the result which you want.

  • Delete the legends completely
  • Insert a text box there and write the text required

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.
