Custom dictionary problem

I have a large custom dictionary . When I mis-spell a word from the custom dictionary it is underlined as mis-spelt. But it only suggests corrections from the main dictionary. Why won't it suggest corrections from the custom dictionary? (I am using Office 365 and the problem has only arisen recently perhaps since the latest update).

The check box is clear already - that doesn't seem to be the problem.

I've also tried checking the box and restarting word and then unchecking the box and restarting word to make sure.

Most of my colleagues are having the same problem.

Thanks for the suggestion though - it would be easy to miss that.

But this is a new problem. Suggestions from the custom dictionary have worked for years but stopped working this week. I doubt that plurals have much to do with it.

At File | Options | Proofing, make sure the check box for "Suggest from main dictionary only" is clear.

My point was that, in the custom dictionary, you usually have to add each form of a word separately. Easy enough to forget, especially if you have added a lot of words recently.

Approaching this from a different angle, perhaps you could give us an example of a word you have added which isn't being recognized.
