Hi

We have alerts setup for when changes are made to a document on SharePoint. In the email notification we receive under KeyPoints it is showing information from previous versions of the document instead of current information. Can anyone please advise me on how to correct this? Thank you

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for posting back. We will continue to help you.

After our test, our email notification didn’t conclude [key Points] as you mentioned.

If possible, could you please provide us your email screenshot for better understanding? And which part you modified, is it in the situation I listed before?

    Take care and stay safe.

    Best Regards,

    Sandro

    Hi Sandro

Thank you for the reply. In your screenshots where it says Title we have another heading underneath that says KeyPoints. Next to that it has information from the document , it shows a few sentences from the .docx.

I don't see that in your screenshots.

    Thanks

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Haven’t heard from you for a while.

According to my last reply, is there anything unclear with the editing part in notification emails?

Let us know if it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Sandro

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for posting in our Community Forum. It’s our pleasure to assist you.

We have tested on our side, we start alert for a document in SharePoint sites.

    ·         When we edit the file name or the content in the document, we will receive the email like the following screenshot:

Only in this scenario, the email will show previous version name of the document.

    ·         When we edit the column value (property) for the document, we will receive the email like the screenshot below:

You can see it shows what has been changed, and it shows the current version property than the previous one.

What’s your reproduce steps? If possible, could you please provide us a related screenshot about your steps for better understanding? In order to protect your privacy, please help us mask your PII, such as private content.

    Best Regards,

    Sandro
