I am using Microsoft Office 2019 Home and Student Edition.  When I go to Product Information in Word and go to About Word it states:  "Version 2005 (Build 12827.20336 Click-to-Run)."   However, when I click on About Word , it states:  "Microsoft Word 2019 MSO (16.0.12827.20328) 64-bit".  This two statements appear to be contradictory to me.  Please explain.  Thanks

    Hi Jerry,

The first is the general release number, shared among Word 2016, Word 2019, and Office 365. 2005 indicates the fifth month of 2020. The next one is the full numbering including the bit-ness and which actual product you have.
