Alignment on Microsoft Word

why every time I click the Left Align button it will not left-aligned but right? I noticed these words were being written in Arabic format. but I already changed it to English (united states) as default but failed.

    Hi DRicho64,

    Thank you for posting this to the Community Forum. I hope you're doing good today despite having an issue with the alignment of the sentences in the Word app. Let's try to get to the bottom of this concern. 

    An incorrect setting is a possible reason for this concern. You may have changed the setting, but the issue keeps coming back. I want to verify if you have tried removing the Arabic language? The Arabic writing format may be the cause of this concern. If you have not I would suggest doing so. You can go to File>> Options>> Language>> Choose the language you need to remove then hit Remove>> Click the OK buttonbelow. You can use the screenshot as a reference.

    If it is a no go, you can try these troubleshooting steps below: 

    1. Install Office updates
    2. Repair an Office application
    3. Uninstall Office from a PC
    4. Download and install or reinstall Office 365 or Office 2019 on a PC or Mac
