Problems with sorting in MS Excel 2016

Question

I have Office 2016 and it worked ok, but some time ago I noticed that it's not possible to sort any more. As in another computer this file worked correctly I uninstalled and installed Office but the problem stays. What may be a problem? How to get Excel to work again?

Unfortunately there wasn’t time to wait with the excel problem :( So, I tried to fix and reinstall MS Office, but the problem stayed. At finally I reinstalled the operatinal system (windows 10) and all programs (office and others) and now it works again. Maybe there was a conflict with other software or the chosen region (language).

I'm Jen, an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

Try performing an Online Repair and see if it fixes the issue. Follow these steps:

Right-click the Windows Start button.

Select "Apps and Features" on the pop-up menu.

Find and click your Microsoft Office 2016 application in the list.

Select Modify, then "Online Repair" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Once the fix is applied, restart your computer and re-try opening your excel workbook to check if the problem has been resolved.
