Excel for Mac

Question

What is the key needs to be used to select/deselect in the items in filter in case of Mac Excel.

In windows the same can be performed by using the space bar. What key needs to be used in case of Mac.

This is another one where Apple has muddied the waters. In order to use the Spacebar for that purpose you need to first change the setting in > System Preferences- Keyboard> Shortcuts. Select the option at the bottom of the pane for All Controls. [Note that this may adversely affect how things work in other dialog windows but at least you can use the Control+F7 keyboard shortcut to toggle the option rather than having to revisit the Preferences pane.]

Hi Raghavendra_Achary,

I tried searching a lot to find the key but based on my search and test,  it appears there’s no shortcut to select/unselect filter items in Excel for mac, unfortunately.

From the following UserVoice post, it seems like the key was never available in mac version of Excel application.
