Is SHIFT+F2 shortcut outdated?

References I found about that shortcut, say that is like CTRL+C: copy selection to clipboard. If this is true, then how I can paste what I've copied, because the usual process (CTRL+V) doesn't have any result. Furthermore, after SHIFT+F2:

  1. Double-click (for example to select another word) is disabled, and I have to press ESC to terminate what ever operation SHIFT+F2 activates.
  2. Right click generates an error message: "This is not a valid selection", and I have to press ESC, too.

So, what does SHIFT+F2 do?

    Hi,

Shift + F2 does NOT copy into the clipboard. Instead it acts like pressing Ctrl and moving by mouse.

After having pressed Shift + F2, have a look at Word's status bar: Word is asking you, where you want to have the copy. Therefore, you have to place the cursor where you need the copy. Than you have to press Enter.

    Best regards,

    Lisa
