Word freezes when saving document

Since I downloaded the latest update for Windows 10, Word has been freezing every couple of times when I save my document. After about five seconds, it works again and my progress isn't lost, but I do find it quite annoying that it keeps happening, especially since I'm one of those people who will automatically press Ctrl+S almost after every sentence I type. I have already tried all of the solutions that I could find, including turning off add-ins and using the Office repair tool. Basically all of my documents are linked to Dropbox, in case that might have something to do with it. Any other ideas for solutions?

I did. I turned it off for a while to see if that would help, but the problem still occurs.

AtFile | Options | Advanced: Save, do you have "Allow background saves" checked?

Thanks for the advice, Palcouk. You are right, when I start Word in safe mode, the problem doesn't occur. Is there anything left I can do in that case?

Hold the Ctrl key when starting Word to force safe mode & retest, sounds to me like a third party integrated Security utility issue, and disabling add-ins may not work in those circumstances
