Advanced document properties and custom fields - Add-Ins available?

I've tried finding something on my own but have been unsuccessful. I am making a report template for writing up client results and would like to find an easier way to input and manage custom fields rather than having to go into the File tab each time I'd like to adjust something.

I'm either looking for an add-in that uses the Microsoft document properties and does not use its own field manager - has anyone found a way to make this process less cumbersome?

Thanks!

    Hello Iris,

This forum is a user-to-user support forum. My name is Charles and I am a fellow user with decades of experience using Microsoft Word. I have written extensively on using Word and have authored help articles on the Microsoft site.

Here is my page on using the Document Property Content Controls.

You can insert these in a document and select them and save them as either an AutoText or AutoCorrect entry. AutoText can be assigned to keyboard shortcuts.
