Ink to Text does not work

  • I wanted to convert ink to Text on my Ipad air on Onenote. However, ink to Text does not appear as an option.
  • I had a look at the same sheet on my Lenovo laptop. the option ink to Text is there, but does not work.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for posting in the community.

For your concern, for now, I am afraid it is not available to change ink to text in OneNote for iPad. I would like to suggest you post the suggestion in our Microsoft Feedback Portal where other members also posted their suggestions here. It’s the platform for us to hear your voice and improve our products.

For the second situation, the feature is available in OneNote or OneNote for Windows 10. Please make sure you select the Lasso Select tool under the Draw tab, drag a selection around the handwriting, then you can click the button “Ink to Text”.
