Find and replace.

Find: x

Replace:xxxxxxxxxx

I prefer to use wildcards in getting the same result(xxxxxxxxxx) ^&x{10} , it returns with x and curly brackets. Using word 2003 for academic interest.

Please find a solution to get characters repeated(number of times) in REPLACE

Thanks

This (^&) will replace x and not y.

    In the 'Replace with' box:

    ^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&

If not "x", but Y how to replace Y 20 times?

Word does not support such codes in the Replace with box. You'll have to use

    ^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&^&
