Excel linking cells does not work when converting to PDF

Hello,

I am facing an issue when converting excel to PDF where linking cell to another does not work in pdf.

The sheet has a table of content for approximately more than 100 pages (printable layout). This is why i tried to link some cells into and from the table of content page to ease the report readers in navigating. Is there a way to keep the cell to cell links active in pdf?

I am using Excel 2019 version with Acrobat reader DC. I tried print to pdf, save as pdf, export to pdf... With no success.

Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

Sharing with You in case You find it helpful.

If You insert Hyperlinks in MS Word > then export to PDF > the Hyperlinks still work in PDF document.

If You would like to test: Please open this Word file (I have already inserted 3 hyperlinks in this Word file) > export to PDF > test it to believe it :-)

    Greatings Tin,

    Thanks for your reply,

The solution you put is for editing the PDF file, but not within the excel. Thr report is to be distributed to large numbers of users as excel so it will be inefficient to ask all users to edit the pdf once they convert it. (the excel is interactive for user input)

" This may be because this hyperlink points to a location in the local area"

Interesting, but why does the local area link not working?

    Thanks a lot,
