Version Control - Major to draft versions SharePoint online

What happens when we change the library versioning setting from Major versions to Draft versions??

or vice versa

Thank you for the reply.

When applying draft versions, it will look like below in the version history:

If you move back to the major version, the draft version (for example 3.1 above) will be retained. And if someone else edits the file after that, the version 3.1 will become 4.0 and the user's editing will become 5.0 like below:

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

If you select "Create major and minor(draft) versions", for example, if someone modify a file, then a draft version will created with decimal numbers, such as 1.1, 1.2…

I have applied draft versions to a library and now I want to move back to the major version then how versioning works??
Will there be any losing versions of draft ones??
